An official source at the Rafah Border Crossing in North Sinai confirmed on Tuesday that 238 trucks loaded with humanitarian and relief aid were allowed to enter the Gaza Strip through the Rafah sub-gate, as part of Egypt’s ongoing efforts to support the Palestinian people. The aid convoys were transferred to the Kerem Shalom Crossing for handover to the Palestinian side, following comprehensive inspection and coordination procedures.
According to the source, the trucks carried essential food supplies, tents, fuel, and medical materials, reflecting the continued flow of humanitarian assistance aimed at alleviating the suffering of civilians in Gaza amid the ongoing crisis.
The shipment included aid from multiple local, international, and Arab organizations, among them the “Zad Al-Ezza” convoy organized by the Egyptian Red Crescent, 105 trucks from the United Nations (UN), 20 trucks from the Egyptian Red Crescent, 16 trucks from the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, and 14 trucks from the State of Qatar. In addition, 53 trucks were allocated to the Egyptian camp, along with two gas trucks and two diesel trucks to support essential services.
The source noted that operations at the Rafah Crossing are running smoothly and efficiently to facilitate the rapid entry of aid into Gaza, in coordination with Egyptian and international bodies. These efforts form part of Egypt’s steadfast humanitarian commitment to assist the Palestinian people and ensure the sustained delivery of relief supplies to the war-torn enclave.
Egypt continues to play a pivotal role in coordinating humanitarian aid to Gaza, maintaining logistical support, and ensuring that international relief operations proceed in accordance with security and inspection standards. The ongoing entry of hundreds of aid trucks underscores Egypt’s leadership in regional humanitarian coordination and its determination to mitigate the impact of the conflict on civilians.
