The Egyptian Red Crescent on Tuesday launched the 75th humanitarian aid convoy under the initiative “Zad Al-Ezzah; From Egypt to Gaza,” transporting large quantities of urgent relief supplies to the Gaza Strip as part of its continuous role as Egypt’s national mechanism for coordinating and dispatching aid to the territory.
The new convoy includes 54,000 winter blankets, around 36,000 winter clothing items, more than 190 mattresses, and 7,230 tents to shelter those affected by the ongoing crisis.
The convoy carries approximately 9,900 tons of urgent humanitarian assistance, including: Over 6,100 tons of food baskets and flour More than 2,600 tons of medical and essential relief supplies Over 1,100 tons of petroleum products to support operational needs inside Gaza.
Continuous Aid Since the Start of the Crisis: The Egyptian Red Crescent launched the first “Zad Al-Ezzah” convoy on July 27, transporting thousands of tons of diverse aid, including food supply chains, flour, infant formula, medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, personal care items, and fuel.
The organization has maintained its presence at the border from the outset of the crisis, operating as the national coordination mechanism for aid entry into Gaza. The Rafah crossing has not been closed from the Egyptian side, and readiness has been maintained across all logistics centers to ensure uninterrupted delivery of aid.
Over Half a Million Tons of Aid and 35,000 Volunteers: According to the Egyptian Red Crescent, more than half a million tons of humanitarian relief have been delivered to Gaza since the beginning of the crisis, supported by the efforts of 35,000 volunteers working around the clock to facilitate logistics and humanitarian operations.
