Egypt will host three open amateur golf championships this October at the Dreamland and New Giza golf courses, featuring a line-up of top players, the Egyptian Golf Federation has announced, as reported by Daily News Egypt, a partner of TV BRICS.
The first event, the 104th edition of the Egyptian Men’s Amateur Open Golf Championship, will take place from 16 – 18 October at Dreamland residential zone in Cairo and is regarded as one of the oldest and most prestigious tournaments in the Middle East and Africa. The second tournament, the Egyptian Amateur Open Golf Championship for Juniors and Ladies, will be held from 23 – 25 October at New Giza.
Omar Hisham Talaat, president of the Egyptian Golf Federation, said hosting the Men’s Amateur Open reflects the federation’s vision to make golf more accessible, inclusive, and globally recognised. Talaat also emphasised that the championships not only bolster local participation but also strengthen Egypt’s international reputation in the sporting world.
