President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi offered his condolences to Kenyan President William Ruto for the victims of the recent landslide that struck a region in Kenya. During a phone call with Ruto, El-Sisi affirmed Egypt’s solidarity with the victims’ families and the Kenyan people.
A landslide in Kenya’s western Rift Valley has left at least 26 people dead and around 25 others missing during days of heavy rains early on 1 November. During their call, the two presidents also discussed the profound relations between the two countries and the participation of Egyptian companies in development projects in Kenya. They also held talks on the Sudanese crisis, the situations in Somalia and the Horn of Africa, and Nile basin cooperation.
