The National Elections Authority, headed by Judge Hazem Badawy, will announce the official results for the first phase of the 2025 House of Representatives elections on Tuesday. The results will be published in the Official Gazette on the same day. Campaigning for the run-off elections in the first phase will resume concurrently with the official announcement of the results.
Appeals against the results of the first phase must be submitted within 48 hours of the announcement, with a deadline of November 20. The Supreme Administrative Court will issue its rulings within 10 days, from November 21 to November 30.
The first phase of the House of Representatives elections was held last Monday and Tuesday in 14 governorates. Judge Ahmed Bendary, Executive Director of the National Elections Authority, announced that 35,279,922 voters were eligible to vote in the first phase of the House of Representatives elections.
The overseas voting of the first phase took place on Friday and Saturday at Egyptian embassies and consulates abroad. The election process was monitored by international observers, including the Arab League, the African Union, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Arab Organization for Electoral Administrations, and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, as well as domestic and foreign media and civil society organizations.
The National Elections Authority introduced several measures to facilitate participation, particularly for elderly voters and persons with disabilities.
