British Ambassador to Egypt, Mark Bryson-Richardson, said the Grand Egyptian Museum is a stunning, world-class institution that presents a display worthy of the wonders of ancient Egypt.
He expressed his delight, according to a statement from the British Embassy this morning, at attending the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum alongside the UK Minister for the Middle East, Hamish Faulkner.
Strategic Partnership Between Egypt and the UK:
The Ambassador said the UK is proud to have partnered with Egypt to obtain EDGE green building certification for the museum, reflecting our shared ambition on environmental issues and embodying the deepening of our bilateral relations in the fields of culture and tourism.
He affirmed that Egypt is a favorite destination for British travelers, with the UK ranking fifth among countries sending visitors.
He expressed his anticipation of further strengthening these enduring ties when British Prime Minister Keir Starmer visits Egypt to elevate relations to a strategic partnership.
